After weeks of planning and several failed attempts to buy tickets...I can finally say I've got my ticket to Mexico!!! The scary part...it's a ONE WAY ticket. Because of complicated scheduling stuff with the airline we want to use we will have to wait to buy our return tickets till later. My first one way ticket? SO EXCITING!!! ...except that I do kind of have to come back eventually...
My new friend Matt and I will be heading out June 1st, flying into Mexico City...from there we will have to take the bus to Puebla (where the internship is) which is about two hours away. We were lucky to get a flight that gets in early so we will have plenty of time to get to Puebla before dark and find UDLAP. Matt's cool, he's a chemistry person and must be really good at Spanish because he does chemistry in Spanish. So yeah I'm planning on letting him do all the talking!
OH MY GOSH SO EXCITED HEADED TO MEXICO IN 62 DAYS!!!

Last week I got some really exciting news...The best part was opening my email and seeing "MEXICO!!!" on the subject line in my inbox...I've been accepted for a 4 week internship in Mexico this summer! I will be in Puebla (about 2 hours from Mexico City) for 4 weeks in June, shadowing medical students at la Universidad de las Americas Puebla (UDLAP). While many of the details are still in the works, I'm already getting excited (and nervous)! This will be a great opportunity for clinical experience as well as practicing my Spanish...I have a lot of work to do before June!
Hasta mas tarde, chao!
